To maintain the natural color, we recommend oiling with linseed oil 2 to 3 times a year. Linseed oil is easily available and can be applied with a rag. Wipe off any excess after 30 minutes. Alternatively, Penofin Exotic Hardwood Finish, a UV-resistant oil, is excellent for Ipe wood and can be applied 1 to 2 times a year.

Before the first oiling, allow your furniture to weather for 30 to 60 days for better oil penetration. If cleaning is required, such as for tree sap or mildew, use a stiff brush with soapy water or a standard wood cleaner. For heavily weathered pieces, sanding before oil application can refresh the wood's color.

It covers defects in material and workmanship for three years from the purchase date, including protection against wood rot and insect infestation.
